Subaru WRX STI - Where It Was Forged

The Subaru WRX STI’s identity is inseparable from rally racing—built on speed, control, and a constant negotiation between traction and chaos. This project returns the car to the environment that shaped its legacy: narrow, unforgiving rally roads where performance is felt as much as it is seen.

The visual approach focused on communicating momentum rather than spectacle. Instead of relying on traditional car-mounted rigs, motion was designed and refined in post-production, allowing for complete compositional freedom while preserving a raw, grounded perspective. Dust, blur, and texture were used as narrative tools—suggesting velocity without losing clarity or intent.

Set against the muted tones and rough surfaces of New England backroads, the imagery emphasizes the WRX STI not as a polished showroom object, but as a machine in its element—fast, purposeful, and unapologetically built for the road less refined.
